Good value meals in the bar and bistro
How loud was that disco? Absolutely ridiculous that you are charged 90 Euros for a room in which it is completely impossible to sleep before 3am.
The hotel is in the centre of town and there is lovely long walks at the back of the hotel.
Room was large and free parking was available behind the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Well located near Cahir Castle.
Hotel hall floor boards creaked loudly when anyone walked on them. Lots of stairs and no lift.
it was comfortable. perhaps a little bit dated decor wise.
It was very noisy at night.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and the service was fast. The evening meal was of excellent quality but portions were too large and smaller, and more economic options should be offered for those with smaller appetites.
I stayed Saturday night and found the corridor floors were noisey as people went to bed. On Sunday morning the mass-going traffic made it impossible to sleep past 8am.
Good hotel overall. Very friendly and helpful front desk. Room was good size, clean and very good value. I arrived after 10pm and I couldn't get food so I went out. This was my second stay on business and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Parking facilities very good too.
Big issue for business traveller is wi fi. Hotel didnt have it. Some limited room service might be a good idea.
Very comfortable and excellent value for money. The evening meals are great value for money and nice and well presented,,staff were very friendly
Comfortable middle of the range hotel good value location excellent
Seeing the castle lit-up at night and sunlit in the morning......the breakfasts.....the local coffee shops....
Very thin walls between the rooms....last visit it wasn't so obvious but more guests so more aware......
The location of this hotel was conveniently located in the center of town close to restaurants, pubs, shopping. It was about a 10 minute drive to the Rock of Cashel.
There was a large function taking place at the hotel and parking was not available. It was also very noisy until the function ended at 11pm.
That was our second time staying in the hotel . But on our frist night there was a disco of which nobody on the reciption told us .We were staying in room 101 right above the disco we rang down to rec at1.40 Only to be told that there was nothing could be done we should have been told when we arrived. It was 3.20 when it finish .not inpressed one bit. Will think very hard before I book again or recommend cahir house hotel to anybody. Was very disapointed wasted weekend Could have stayed at home .
Catherine on reception recognised my wife's mobility problems and organised dinner in our room for us - first class service!
Good entertainment at night ,bar food very good ,quick service ,comfortable room .
Depending what room u got ,the noise from the disco and people going home can keep u awake.
We selected the Cahir House as it was one of the few near the Rock of Cashel that had a triple room available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested dinner selections within walking distance and we enjoyed just walking in the small town as well. The breakfast was very good and filling ... made to order. We also learned about the Cottage House nearby which was a very pleasant find and tour. We didn't do the castle due to time but we had a fabulous view of the castle from our window.
It was a little more pricey than many of our other places, but it was a lovely old hotel.
very central, welcoming, helpful, food great, fantastic breakfast at (resonable price if your not a resident). all in all most enjoyable......
no lift, that's all really..........
